I'm Michael Dane.  I grew up in South Minneapolis, Minnesota. I started writing when I was seven years old. I taught myself how to write screenplays and edit videos as a young adult. I wrote my first screenplay in 1994.  I joined the Guardian Angels Safety Patrol in 1986. In 1987, I traveled the country with Curtis Sliwa and 'Tut,' as a Guardian Angel National Coordinator.

Everything that I write about, I write in true honesty. I should have my head examined for some of the shit I've done and experienced in my life. But I'm still standing. I refuse to give up because of my fucked up past. I hope this book will convince countless others, that you mean something, you matter, and you can survive and carry on, just like I did, no matter how difficult of a life you have had. If I can do it, you can too. You have to have faith that things will get better. You may have to work your ass off to get that happy life you have always wanted. But in the end, it will be worth it.  This book, 'Hollow,' started out as a ten-episode miniseries with the same name, 'Hollow.' It took me over three years to produce the documentary, which has never been seen in public; too graphic for YouTube.
